2 Months!

Ethan had his 2 month check up with Dr. Bolton on Tuesday. He is definately defining his personality by passing some very audible gas as the doctor greeted him! He continues to be our big boy weighing in at 13 lbs, 3 oz! He is 24 1/2 inches tall. He recieved his first immunizations 5 total...3 injections and one oral. He let us know that he didn't like the injections with 3 wails with each poke...but he only let out those 3 screams and then stopped and continued nursing. Later in the day however he woke up screaming and was inconsolable for 35 minutes and it wasn't time for the next dose of Tylenol! At this point mom and Ethan were crying! I was searching through my BABY 411 book to see if this was normal and it said that if the baby cries for 3 hours straight to call the doctor bc they could be having an adverse reaction. Thirty minutes seemed like an eternity so I am so thankful that he settled down eventually while dad rocked him. He was a happy baby again in the evening. I HATE SHOTS!
Leaving the horrible shot table...

I have diagnosed the poor little dude with reflux. The doctor didn't seem too concerned about it at this time since he continues to eat well and is obviously gaining weight. Keeping him upright after feeding, having him sleep at an incline in his bouncy seat, and using a homeopathic remedy is helping with the reflux. It is something he will outgrow eventually. I am planning to take him to a chiropractor who has infant certification as well to see if that will help.
In my swing~

In order to keep Ethan upright after feeding for at least 20 mins he has been spending more time in the swing which he likes! There are some toys on the tray of the swing and he has gotten good at batting at them to make noise. He spins the wheel that is on the bear too. He smiles and giggles at us when we talk to him which is SO rewarding. It makes up for the times he is screaming!
