We spent Easter in Milwaukee and enjoyed the nice weather and fun times with family. Ethan didn't really have a clue about what was going on but sure didn't like when I put pink Easter bunny ears on him! He will probably enjoy decorating eggs more next year.
Again with this face!
Ethan turned 6 weeks last Friday and we have begun trying to break him of his fall asleep on us pattern. He does let us put him down now in his bouncer seat or the crib for naps and last night he slept in his crib for the first time. We haven't taken the bassinet out of our room yet, but hopefully he will adjust to the crib just fine and we'll get some better sleep listening to him through the monitor instead of the real thing. He makes lots of little "talking" noises in his sleep.
Ethan has become very predictable in the last 2 weeks. He eats, burps (sometimes this takes a long time as he is a pretty burpy baby and I can't quite get the smell of baby vomit out of my nose), plays, sits in the swing, or stares at us as we make funny faces, gets tired, we swaddle him up real good, rock/sway/shhh him and he falls asleep until he wakes up hungry for his next feeding which is roughly every 3 hrs during the day. He sits in the bumbo chair (briefly) but I think it helps him work on his neck muscles. He still gets fussy in the evening in which we still bounce the heck out of him and make laps around the basement, or kitchen, or whereever we feel like walking. But it's nice to be able to read into his cries and have more of an idea of what he wants. Cuts down on the frustration from both sides!
