10 months

Highlights of Ethan at 10 months-

Eating: The kid eats anything! He especially likes grilled cheese, noodles, anything pureed if it is on toast, pineapple, pears, peach yogurt, and puffs. He will sometimes make a funny face based on the temperature of the food. He doesn't like food that is very cold. He nurses 3 times a day- morning, mid afternoon, and bedtime. We won't know his weight until 12 months, but he's heavy! My guess is that he hasn't gained all that much weight because he is very active. He drinks well from a sippy cup and can also drink from a normal cup.

Moving: I have a feeling Ethan will walk by the time his first birthday rolls around. He moves from furniture to furniture and will "walk" with you if you are holding is arms and walking backwards. He has a walker toy but it moves a little faster than he would like right now. He pushes his play table across the room at times. He also is crawling on all 4s with his belly off the ground, like normal. I guess he will read after all! It's nearly impossible at times to change his diaper because he won't sit still! You let go of his legs and his nude little butt is crawling away as fast as possible! He's trying to gain his Independence already!

Talking: Lots of "da" or "dada." It's pretty cute because he has inflections with his pitch. He also says "yah yah yah" a lot. He has conversations with you if you mimic what he is saying. He blows lots of raspberries and scrunches his nose and breathes in and out. He still makes his humming like goat noise which can't be duplicated, except by Ethan.

Games: High five, sometimes he does SO BIG, clapping, shakes his head, dances to songs, laughs when you come at him as say something silly, loves to be swung like a bell, loves to play in the bathtub during baths and most recently tries to eat the bubbles. He still pulls off his socks, or sometimes just one sock and will carry it around in his mouth. He finds all sorts of things to carry in his mouth- today it was a deck of cards.

No: I feel like we have to say NO all the time...No, don't pull on the plant leaves. No, don't touch the radiator. No, don't go there, touch that, eat that, pull on that, open that...you name it! Ethan doesn't like when you take something away that he's not supposed to have and he lets you know. Overall, he's pretty easy going and such a joy to be around!
