Ethan's days as a 9 month old

Eating: Ethan got the ok from the doc to eat whatever we are eating. He had bits and pieces of everything at Thanksgiving dinner, although I was hesitant to give him the sugary sweet potatoes since he is very fond of them plain! He continues to eat without hesitation. New items recently- Campbell's soup, spinach and mozzarella ravioli with alfredo sauce, and scrambled eggs.

Playing: Favorite games- climbing up the stairs, knocking over blocks or stacking cups, chasing the cat around the house, climbing through chairs, trying to attack the laptop if in sight, pulling items out if the fridge if the door is open, pulling off his sock and carrying it around in his mouth so his hands are free. He likes to laugh at the Isabelle Bloom raccoon that we have by the door. He likes to play with zippers and buttons on clothes.

Moving: All the time! Ethan goes from laying to sitting to standing with ease. He pulls himself up on toys, chairs, couches, and us. He even likes to be standing in the bathtub. Still scooting on his belly when he wants to move fast, but he does get up on all fours and moves that way sometimes. He shakes his head back and fourth and sometimes his lower body too when we say "dance." He is slowing furniture surfing and I even saw him stand without holding on to anything for about 2 seconds. It's so fun waiting to see what he'll do next.

Talking: Lots of talking these days. This week it's a lot of "mama" but also continues to say "dada", "nah nah", "baba", and some "th" sounds too. I haven't noticed any of his words meaning anything specific yet. He uses sign language for "eat" and sometimes "more." I'm trying to give him more signs. He's had a stuffy nose that progressed to a cough for weeks now, but it doesn't seem to bother him. He keeps infecting me though!
