Baby Gavin First Photos

My labor was about 12 hours total. Had to call Owen at the bar on his usual Wednesday night outing to tell him I was having contractions 5 mins apart. He called back a few times to make sure he really had to come home to take me to the hospital! We were admitted around 1 am and I labored all night until the doctor came in the next morning...note to self in the future---unless my water breaks, don't go to the hospital in the middle of the night! It was a tough wait until morning when the doctor makes rounds!  When it was time Gavin REALLY wanted to come out. In fact the nurse told me to stop pushing so that the doctor would make it into the room in time! He was a bullet baby! And boy he came out screaming...a couple of the doctors in the room

We are truly blessed to have another baby boy! Ethan has proved to be an awesome big brother. These pictures recap our hospital stay at Northwest Community.

 8 lbs 8 oz, 22inches long makes Gavin 1 oz lighter and 2 inches taller than Ethan was at birth.

 Ethan was hesitant to hold his baby brother upon the first meeting, but he warmed up by the second or third time he came for a visit. He continues to smile at Gavin every day....and now Gavin smiles and laughs back at him!
