Licking the bowl clean!

Ethan had his first bites of organic whole grain rice cereal today. We had a little encouragement from my sister in law, Angela who came for the day to take pictures of Ethan and experiment with her new camera lens. Photos to come after they are edited! Can't believe Ethan is nearly 6 months old. Feeding went a little like this- Dad feeding so mom can take some pictures....liquidy rice cereal on spoon...Ethan opened wide for food insertion....Bite one...yum...let me reach for the bowl and try and put the whole thing in my mouth...oooo that bite may have come right back out...but I want more in my mouth now...still reaching for the bowl...more bites....and more out of the mouth on the bib....man that rice/breast milk mixture is sticky....1 teaspoon of rice down the hatch!....and, oh my, big burp...I think it all came back out...let's get some more cereal ready...tooooooot...oh my, Ethan just filled his pants while sitting in the bumbo....oooo another 1/2 teaspoon of cereal...yumm...and another vomit session....maybe it's the pressure on the stomach while sitting in the bumbo and not the food...ok, buddy all done for this evening...and so the solid food begins! It may not be a daily ritual at this point but we'll see where we go from here.
